Airport
The conference venue, Shangri-La’s Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, Tainan, is approximately 15-min drive from the Tainan domestic airport and 60- to 90-min drive from Kaohsiung International Airport.
Coming from Taoyuan International Airport will take 4-hour drive, or 1.5 hour by the Taiwan High Speed Railway. Taxis, minibuses, and limousine services can be found on the ground floor of the international arrival halls.
From Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE)
1. Take a taxi or shuttle bus from the airport to Taiwan High Speed Rail Taoyuan Station, which takes about 20 minutes.
2. Take the Taiwan High Speed Rail train from Taoyuan Station to Tainan Station.
From Kaohsiung International Airport (KHH)
Take Kaohsiung MRT from the Airport Station (R4) to Kaohsiung Main Station (R11) for Taiwan Railway Train or Zuoying High Speed Rail Station (R16).
There are two options:
1. Take the Taiwan High Speed Rail train from Zuoying to Tainan Station, which requires about 15 minutes.
2. Take Taiwan Railway from Kaohsiung Main Station to Tainan Taiwan Railway Station, which usually takes about 35 minutes by express trains.
From Tainan High Speed Rail Station to Conference Site
Participants who arrive at Tainan Station by Taiwan High Speed Rail can proceed to the interchange corridor on the 2nd floor of High Speed Rail Tainan Station or the No.1 exit on the 1st floor lobby to take the shuttle train at Sharon Station to Tainan Train Station. The shuttle train appears every 30 minutes and arrives at Tainan Train Station in about 20 minutes. It takes only 1 minute to walk from Tainan Train Station to Shangri-La’s Far Eastern Plaza Hotel.
